The bowling championship organized by the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at the Central Operations Department of Abu Dhabi Police GHQ kicked off on Monday, at the Khalifa International Bowling Center.
 
The championship was attended by Head of Personnel Affairs Branch, Major Abdulaziz Massoud Al Daheri and Mohamed Khalifa Al-Qubaisi, Head of UAE Bowling Federation. 6 teams counting 24 players from the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department participated in this championship that included three rounds. In the first round, the Director General’s office team played against the Public Relations team; while the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department team faced Follow up and Execution Section; and Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department faced the Support Services Department.
 
 The top three winning teams that qualified for round two of the championship were the Follow up and Execution Section team that ranked first; the Support Services Department team that ranked second and the Director General’s office team that ranked third. For his part, Lieutenant Mohamed Sabah Kambar from the Follow up and Execution Section team achieved the highest score in the championship. The third and last round witnessed a number of competitions between the 3 qualified teams.
 
Concluding, Major Al Daheri handed a commemorative gift on behalf of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department to the Head of the UAE Bowling Federation Mohamed Khalifa Al-Qubaisi, in recognition of the Federation’s efforts to ensure the success of the championship. It is noteworthy that this championship, which takes place on a monthly basis between the Department’s employees, is organized by the Public Relations Section at the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department, to enhance social ties and encourage purposeful sports activities.
