Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior met on Thursday morning at the headquarters of the Ministry, Igor Zubov, Russian Deputy Interior Minister for International Cooperation Affairs, and the accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the state.
During the meeting, both parties discussed a number of topics of common interest and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in the security field. They also tackled means to exchange information with respect to persons wanted for criminal acts, and to develop cooperation mechanisms to combat crime, as per the security agreement signed between the Ministries of Interior of both countries.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Dr. Rashid Sultan Al Kheder, Acting Director General of the Undersecretary Diwan; Colonel Ahmed Rashid Al Saboosi, Director of the Clients Affairs Department, and Chairman of the Committee to activate security cooperation between the UAE and the Russian Federation. Also attending were Lt. Colonel Jamal Fares from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Lt. Col. Ahmed Saeed Al Mazroui, Director of International Cooperation Department; Major Mubarak Said Al Khaili,Director of Interpol Forensic Security Department; Major Abdullah Al Shamsi, from the Anti-Narcotics General Directorate at the Ministry of the Interior; along delegation members accompanying Deputy Interior Minister of the Russian Federal Republic.
At the end of the meeting, both parties exchanged commemorative gifts.
