Transport Survey Initiative to solve Traffic jams in Abu Dhabi Emirate
Community Policing Department in cooperation and coordination with Transport Department has launched an Initiative of “Transport Survey In Abu Dhabi Emirate”.
The aim of the Initiative is to study the causes of traffic jams and bottle-necks on the Emirate roads, and working out appropriate solution. This includes the implementation of Abu Dhabi Metro and its stations Project, to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
The Community Policing Unit of Al Khalidia One-stop Police Station at the Capital Police Directorate, with partnership between the police and Transport Department, would supervise the implementation of the Initiative. The work mechanism includes survey of internal roads of the Emirate, petrol stations, (Abu Dhabi – Al Ain, Abu Dhabi – Dubai, Al Ain – Dubai) highways and the Western Region. Random visits to the residents would be carried out to learn about their daily movements timings.
