Special Tasks Department receives cadets
The Department of Special Tasks at ADP GHQ has organized an introductory meeting with the first group of the 23rd batch of Police College cadets. The meeting was attended by Major Mohammad Khadim Al Ghaithi on behalf of the Department’s Director and 1st Lt. Manssour Saleh Al Manssouri from the College. The meeting preludes the practical lessons which will continue for one year.
Major Al Ghaithi greeted the students and urged them to work hard if they want to benefit from the training. They should also obey orders, adhere to military discipline, respect their instructors and behave themselves.
The training programme which will take place at Special tasks department premises covers three areas: How to control riots (3 weeks), how to protect VIPs (2 weeks) and how to secure celebrations, public activities and exhibitions (1 week).
