Saudi killed in a traffic accident in the Western region
A Saudi died on the spot and his compatriot traveler suffered injuries when a trailer truck carrying cars hit their truck from behind on the road to Al Salaa in the Western region, on Wednesday morning.
According to initial reports, the accident happened because of the exhaustion of the truck driver who fell asleep. The trailer truck driven by "M.M.Aa.", aged 26, rammed into the truck, said Colonel Hamad bin Trais Al Dhahri, Director of the Western region Police.
The accident resulted in the death of the Saudi passenger in the truck, identified as "M.Aa.Aa." while the truck driver survived.
Dr. Al Shirbini Al Sayyed Mohammad, acting Director of Al Salaa Hospital said "The death is due to ribs and pelvis fracture and bleeding. The condition of the other individual is stable.
Al Dhahri urged motorists not to drive when under pressure or are tired, as these are two of the main reasons behind traffic accidents.
