Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior met in his office a Human Resources Team from Abu Dhabi Police including Major Mohamed Bin al-Awadi al-Minhali, Director General of Human Resources and Colonel Thani Butti Al Shamsi, Director of Training Department at Abu Dhabi Police. This meeting comes on the occasion of the victory attained by the Training Department of The General Directorate of Human Resources in Abu Dhabi Police, by winning two excellence awards with honors in training practices from the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD). The Training Department’s participation included competing in two categories: best practices in training needs preparation and best practices in the integrative assessment of training evaluation and measurement of training return.
His Highness congratulated the team on the achievement and distinguished excellence obtained with these awards, stressing their importance in providing an incentive to the Training Department towards more building of the internal capacities as per the best practices in order to achieve the strategic goals reflected on the development of the human element's potential.
The meeting was attended by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior.
It is worth noting that Abu Dhabi Police is the first police institution in the Middle East to win this award. The American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) is one of the most important professional organizations dealing with the development of training, development and learning practices worldwide. It was established in 1943 and includes members representing more than 100 countries.
