The Public Safety and Quick Intervention Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, took part in the events of the 2012 “Sayfuna Mumayaz (Our Summer is special) program, organized in coordination with the Central Operations General Department in Abu Dhabi Police, and in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC).
The program included two lectures delivered by officers from the Emergency and Public Safety Department yesterday at the Al Ofoq School in Abu Dhabi, about first aid and fire extinguishing techniques. The two lectures were accompanied by practical exercises, and a presentation acquainting students with the equipment used.
Colonel Hilal Aida Al Mazroui, Director of Public Safety and Quick Intervention Department, stated: “The Department’s participation in the ‘Our Summer is special’ Program comes in line with the Ministry of Interior’s primary strategic goal to ‘Provide Security and Safety’, as well as to spread awareness among our children about the need to protect properties from fires, and ways to handle similar situations, in addition to first aid.”
He added: “During the program, a number of lectures will be delivered in seven centers in Abu Dhabi, and seven other centers in Al Ain.”
Colonel Al Mazroui stressed the important role played by summer centers to in filling the students’ leisure time with means to refine their talents and enhance their skills.
