Police should increase presence in the e-world especially social networks as recommended by the Gulf States Global Police Symposium which concluded later today at the Intercontinental Hotel and Resort in Abu Dhabi.
Other recommendations also included encouraging of joint international training in the field of order mainlining and crime prevention and holding the symposium on yearly basis in order to support relations and transfer knowledge among the police leaders.
In addition to open discussion, the conferees have addressed many issues in the final day including the phenomenon of widespread violation of law, the role of community policing and enching international cooperation.
In this symposium, held under the patronage of Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minster and Minster of Interior, as many as 30 police senior officials worldwide have discussed the challenges facing police work such as the international cooperation in combating crime, cooperation in areas of training, e-crime, social networks relation with security and efforts to combat human trafficking and drugs.
