The Police Schools Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ came in first place and was crowned Champion of the Police First Pistol Tactical Shooting Championship. The Police Community Department ranked second, while the Forensic Evidence Department came in third place.
The event was organized by the Sports Activity Section at the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development, as part of the sporting program set up by Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters. A total of 15 departments from the Abu Dhabi Police took part in the championship, which was held at the Police Officers Club, Abu Dhabi. It is noteworthy that the championship has gained considerable attention and witnessed strong competition between Abu Dhabi Police’s staff members who demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship.
Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General, the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, noted that the championship focused on enhancing the skills of Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s officers and increasing their fitness, weapons handling and rescue skills and outstanding performance.
For his part, Captain Jamal Al Saadi, National Teams and Competitions Branch Manager at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, underlined that the championship was marked by the diversity of skills, stages and areas of competence.
