The Police College celebrated the graduation of 15 officers from the various sectors of the Ministry of Interior after completing a basics course for employees of the Punitive Reformatory Establishments. The ceremony was held at Al Ittihad hall at the Police College in Abu Dhabi.
In his address on the occasion, Brigadier Sami Hareb Al Munthari, Deputy Director of the Punitive Reformatory Establishments at the Ministry of Interior, emphasized the ministry’s keenness to enhance the efficiency and competencies of its human cadre, according to the training plan, to keep abreast of the latest developments. This embodies the police leadership’s directives, which stipulate dedicating attention to the training system and honing officers’ skills.
He added that the courses, organized by the Officers’ Training Institute, aim to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies of participants, with respect to the legal basics governing work at the Punitive Reformatory Establishments; in addition to punitive treatment, classification basics; isolation, reform; and rehabilitation of inmates. .
At the end of the ceremony, Brigadier Sami Al Munthari accompanied by Captain Mohammed Al Shamsi, distributed certificates to the graduates.
Attending the ceremony were, Colonel Seif Mohammed Al Naimi, Acting Director General of the Police College; Captain Mohammed Al Shamsi, Acting Director of the Officers’ Training Institute; along with department directors, heads of sections, and officers from the Police College and Training Institute.
