Peripheral Areas Traffic Department of the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate honored prosecutors and strategic partners in recognition of their efforts in spreading traffic awareness in the community.
Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Baloushi Director of Peripheral Areas Traffic Department, said that the cooperation of Abu Dhabi Ports and Al Jaber Group and Emal in the implementation of traffic awareness programs, which included educating drivers on traffic rules and regulations as well as guiding pedestrians on the importance of using zebra crossings, contributed in decreasing accidents on the outer roads.
Major Mohsen Al Menhali, Head of Peripheral Areas Traffic Division asserted the role of strategic partners in achieving the strategy's objectives according to plans and execution programs, which aim to spread traffic culture among the biggest number of people so as to reduce death and accidents rates.
He urged the community to adhere to traffic laws, respect speed limits and stoplights and not make mistakes that may lead to accidents; he also urged pedestrians to use zebra crossings.
The honorees valued the efforts exerted by the Traffic and Patrols Directorate to spread awareness, and to introduce the community to traffic regulations in order to reduce accidents.
