MoI organizes lecture on career path project

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has organized a lecture on career path project for the directors of departments and heads of sections and officers of the General Directorate of Criminal Security.

The lecture was delivered by Colonel Dr. Jassem Mohammed Al Baker, deputy director of Federal Police School and chairman of the subcommittee of the ministry of interior on career path.

He shed light on the importance of spreading the culture of career path among the ministry of interior personnel.  He said that the idea of the project is based on the possibility of linking career path at the ministry through indicating the main specializations of its work sectors and through dividing it into four main phases.

Internal and external benchmarking studies and researches have been conducted to identify the concept of career path, said Al Baker.
Internal benchmarking included Abu Dhabi police and Dubai police, whereas external one included a number of the world’s advanced police agencies such as the US, Britain, Australia and Singapore.

Most of these studies have come up with need of linking education with career path.

The lecture concluded with discussions, comments and questions raised by the audience. The lecturer answered them.
