A delegation from the Ministry of Interior; headed by Major General Matar Salem bin Musaid Al Neyadi, Director General of Electronic Services and Telecommunication at the Ministry, took part in the first German – GCC Security Conference, held recently in the city of Dusseldorf, Federal Republic of Germany.

On the first day of the conference, Major General Al Neyadi presented a worksheet on the "Basic guidelines that determine the need for security systems; and the modern technology at the GCC countries."

For his part, lt. Colonel Khalid Nasr Al Tai’e, Director of Electronic Auditing and Information Security at the Electronic Services and Telecommunication Directorate at the Ministry presented in his worksheet at the conference, an overview about the "Advanced security systems in the UAE."

The Ministry of Interior’s delegation attended the opening ceremony of the "Essen Security" Exhibition for electronic security, held in conjunction with the conference. The ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Dirk Grabowski, Head of the Industry Security Department at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

 The opening ceremony was also attended by a number of European Parliament members, and included distribution of innovation awards in the field of security technology industries; as well as honoring of outstanding technology companies.

On the second day, the delegation visited a number of companies specialized in the field of security technology; biometric fingerprint and companies specialized in Ports security.

 The delegation was briefed on the latest techniques available in the field of work and disciplines of the German Ministry of Interior in general.
