Colonel Saif Ali Al Ketbi, Director General of the Police College attended on Thursday, at Union Hall, the graduation ceremony of 21 officers who completed the "Basics of Successful Management" course. The ceremony was attended by Department directors and Department Heads, as well as a number of officers from the Police College and the Officers Training Institute.
Colonel Al Ketbi pointed out that the "Basics of Successful Management" course is part of the training plan at the Officers Training Institute for 2012; which contributes to educate officers via a number of academic and training programs, in line with developments in police work, in order to improve performance and achieve innovation and organizational excellence in all areas of work.
For his part, Major Dr. Nasser al-Bakr, Acting Director of the Officers Training Institute, noted that the course focused on developing the knowledge, abilities and skills of the participating officers, on the effective methods and basics of successful management; which contributes to speed up completion of work process and to provide distinguished services to the public.
It is noteworthy that the participants received theoretical lectures during the course and participated in group discussions on the principles and criteria for the success of the administrative process and decision-making skills. They also took part in practical applications including role-playing, brainstorming sessions, video screening and other topics.
In conclusion, Colonel Al Ketbi, accompanied by Major Dr. al-Bakr, distributed certificates to the officers who participated in the course.
