Electronic Fingerprint systems to be modernized
 

Fingerprint section heads and directors of the Police GHQs and General Directorates across the UAE discussed the future trend of modernizing electronic fingerprint systems, using the latest software versions and editions, and preparing the systems that serve such activities.

The above was discussed at the meeting recently held at the big meeting room at the General Directorate of Ras Al Khaima Police, and chaired by Lt. Colonel. Yaqoub Yousuf Abu Layla, Head of the Information Management and Criminal lists, at the Directorate General of Criminal Security.

The attendees took note of the statistics and indications related to the system, in order to promote performance in accordance with the work’s initiatives and plans which the Ministry of Interior had adopted to carry out its goals in light of the strategy set to keep pace with the technological advancements, in such a way that contributes to cut crime rate and identify perpetrators.

Attended the meeting were Major Yasser Mohammed Ibrahim Al Wahhabi, Director of Electronic Infrastructure at the General Directorate of Electronic Services and Communications in the Ministry of Interior, and those in charge of the Fingerprint sections of the Police GHQs and General Directorates across the UAE.
