Deputy Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim visited the Ministry of Interior’s pavilion at GITEX 2011, accompanied by Major General Engineer Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen, Director of General Traffic Department.
He was received there by Colonel Anwar Al Mulla, Director of IT and Communication Department at Abu Dhabi Police, Lt Colonel Faisal Al Shammari, Security Information officer and Chairman of the executive committee of MoI pavilion at GITEX.
He inspected the contents of the stand including the electronic projects, systems and services which the ministry of interior provides to its customers.
He was briefed about the Sahl machine project, the first of its kind in the region, which customers can use to get their car ownership cards renewed and replaced in case of damage or loss within less than two minutes.
He was also made aware of the awareness projects and initiatives of the higher committee for child protection at the MoI Child Protection Center, and of the projects and initiatives of geographical information systems, wireless communication and Mursal, as well as search and rescue techniques by using police dogs.
A memorial present was given to Lit General Khalfan on the occasion of his visit to the MoI pavilion at GITEX.
