Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, represented by the Community Police department at Al Rahba police station, concluded the 6th Community Police Forum with an honoring ceremony for the participants. The Forum, organized under the theme “Our children, our hope”, was held in collaboration with the Emirates Aluminum Company Emal, the official sponsor; the Emirates Heritage Club, Al Chahama Municipality as well as a number of institutions from Al Chahama city in Abu Dhabi.

Lt. Colonel Jumaa Al Rashidi, Director of Al Rahba Police Station, stated that the Forum attracted more than 500 male and female students, as well as a number of parents and citizens, and included several awareness activities, highlighting the close relationship between Community Police and community members in the various segments; thus sustaining security and stability as per the vision of Abu Dhabi Police.
 
Moreover, Al Rashidi added that several awareness messages were transmitted throughout the Forum to parents and school officials, on the best ways to address the young people’s problems, in addition to a number of awareness workshops. The workshops focused on raising the level of awareness among young people regarding the risks of tobacco use and drug abuse and their negative impacts on both the individuals and society. It also addressed the problem of violence between students and its risks on their future.

Al Rashidi also added that the Forum tackled the importance of family cohesion, which constitutes a strong link between family members and a main pillar in building the family. He also stressed the importance of such workshops for both students and their parents.
