The Civil Defense General Department in Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the Child Department at the Ministry of Social Affairs, introduced a course on safety for kindergartens.

Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director General of Civil Defense in Abu Dhabi, said: “At the beginning of the year, we executed a work plan for the safety project at kindergartens. As part of the Ministry of Interior’s strategy and in line with the visions of the police commandment, this project aims to provide the essential needs for all society segments and raise awareness among caregivers at kindergartens through a series of training courses.”

For his part, Lieutenant Hamid Al Ali, General Coordinator of the course, said: “Such courses, which are supervised by Civil Defense experts, include topics that cover fire fighting, evacuation, and first aid.”

“Caregivers will receive their training for three days at the Civil Defense Academy. The program targets 120 caregivers, two from each kindergarten, and aims to empower their efforts to limit risks and provide a proper working environment,” he added.

This program reflects the Ministry of Interior’s plans to protect children, as the Civil Defense is a vital and essential partner in protection and safety issues.

Lieutenant Hamid extended gratitude to the Child Department and the Emergency and Public Safety Department for their cooperation in executing and bringing success to this program.
