The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters marks the anniversary of the first Police Patrol launched in Abu Dhabi in April 1962. A number of ceremonies will be taking place tomorrow, Thursday 19th of April, 2012 in front of Al Sharq Mall, Mishrif Mall, and Marina Mall; the ceremonies will continue until Saturday evening. They will include a presentation of the development of the Police Patrols following its phased integration into police work.

Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadi Al Menhali, Director General of Police Operations in the Abu Dhabi Police said: “Marking the 50th anniversary of the launch of the first Police Patrol immortalizes its performance of reinforcing security and providing various services, which have witnessed noticeable development, whether in different work fields or its qualities to achieve a remarkable progress.

He also pointed that the event embodies the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ strategy to increase the public’s trust in the police, upgrade safety levels, develop partnership and communication with the public, build trust between them and the various components of society through the development of more distinguished services, and gain the satisfaction of the organizations and the individuals alike.

The Abu Dhabi Police is committed to celebrate the launch of the first Police Patrol in Abu Dhabi annually, by participating with the public, in the various events that highlight the Police role and efforts to promote security and stability.
