Under the patronage of HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the fourth Breakthrough Leadership Conference 2013 will begin on Sunday, with “Leadership is Innovation” as a main topic. The one-day conference, organized by the Human Resources Directorate General at Abu Dhabi Police, will be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police, indicated that the conference aims to boost the concept of leadership and promote creativity, innovation and excellence. It also aims to further develop creative thought leadership through a number of work papers tackling issues that concern leaders in the region, presented by an elite of professors and international experts from the US and England.
He added that the conference includes 4 main topics. The first topic will cast light on the characteristics of the leader, and a scientific analysis of the leader’s personality, along with methods of developing leadership qualities and readiness; the second topic will examine the leader’s role in managing change, leadership secrets, the art and training for leadership, and the means to prepare a promising generation of leaders. As a third topic, the conference will tackle the impact of creativity and innovation methods on society, as well as the elements and levels of creativity. The fourth topic will highlight the role of executive leadership and the theory of stopping crime before it starts; additionally, it will highlight the means to attainglobal reach through international networks, transformation and administrative leadership.
