A 29-year-old Emirati woman died, while her 34 year-old husband, her three children aged between “one year and a half” and 11 and a 27-year-old Ethiopian woman sustained injuries in a car crash on Thursday. The accident took place when the car driven by the citizen (F.A.A) crashed with a truck driven by an Asian on the trucks roads, after Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Street towards Faya near Seeh Al Shuaib region in Abu Dhabi.
The wife of the first car driver N.M, a 29-year-old Emirati woman died in the traffic accident. Moreover, the woman's husband, the couple's three children: (S) aged 11, (D) aged 6, and (M) aged one year and a half, and their 27-year-old Ethiopian housekeeper sustained mild and serious injuries. As for the truck driver, he also sustained minor injuries.
Ambulances from the Emergency and Safety Department at Abu Dhabi’s General Directorate of Central Operations, provided first aid treatment to three of the injured and transported them to Al Rahba Hospital. The Emirati woman’s body was moved to Shaikh Khalifa Hospital in Abu Dhabi. Ambulances from Dubai Police transported the other two injured individuals to Al Mafraq Hospital. Furthermore, investigations are currently under way to determine the cause of the accident.
Major General Nasser Lakhreibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Children Safety Committee at the Ministry of Interior, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the Emirati woman who died in the crash.
