An Agreement between MoI and UN to promote Search and Rescue Abilities is concluded
HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy prime Minister and Minister of Interior witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Interior and the UN International Authority for Search and Rescue. The agreement aims at promoting and developing the abilities of UAE Search and Rescue Team.
The agreement includes execution of training, drills and response to international disasters, in order to promote the abilities and skills of UAE Search and Rescue Team. The ceremony was attended by Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Shaafar, MoI Undersecretary. Major Mohammad Abdul Jaleel Al Anssari signed on behalf pf MoI, in his capacity as the Field Liaison Officer with the UN. UN was represented by Mr. Argonne Katoosh, in his capacity as the Secretary of UN International Authority for Search and Rescue.
