Al Shaafar receives Deputy Executive Chief of UN Office
Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Shaafar, MoI Undersecretary, has received today Mr. Francis Martin, Deputy Chief Executive Officer the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Director of Operations at UNODC and Hatim Ali Director of Semi-regional Office on Drugs and Crime in Abu Dhabi.
They discussed during the meeting ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between MoI and UNODC in crime and drugs fighting areas, in addition to reviewing the working plan of the Office.
Mr. Francis Martin has expressed his appreciation and gratitude to HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for his continuous and unlimited support to the newly established office and for providing it with all necessary facilities to enable its staff to perform their tasks and duties in a proper way.
The meeting was attended by Lt. Colonel Hassan Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Drugs Control Department and Lt. General (DR.) Jamal Saif Faris, Director of International Cooperation Department at MoI.
