Al Ain Police launches second blood donation campaign

Al Ain Police Directorate yesterday launched the second blood donation campaign in collaboration with the Regional Blood Bank of Tawam hospital and Jons Hopkins Medicine.

On its first day, the three-week long campaign witnessed huge rush from police officers and employees of different sections who were willing to donate blood. Colonel Mohammed Suhail Al Shamesi, Deputy Director of Al Ain police was the first one to donate blood

The campaign covers police stations of Al Jimi, Al Medina, Al Maqam, Al Sanaieyah, Al Sad, Traffic and Patrols Section, Medical Services, Forensics, Security Inspection K9, Police Courts, VIP Protection, Heavy Vehicles Licensing Section of Mazyad, Khatm Al Shakela and Mazyad’s Boarder Exits Sections, Explosives and Facilities Management Department of Al Ain.

Launching the campaign in its second edition reflects the vision and strategy of Abu Dhabi Police in strengthening communication with various government and private sector institutions, affirmed Director of Al Ain Police, Brigadier Hamad Ajlan Al Ameemi.

Al Ain Police is organizing blood donation campaigns on periodic basis as they are important in securing a large amount of blood for patients and victims of traffic accidents, he pointed out.
