The Al Ain Police Directorate launched the 2012 back-to-school initiative on Sunday morning, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Educational Council (ADEC) in Al Ain schools. The initiative falls within the Ministry of Interior campaign under the slogan: “Traffic Safety for School Students.” The initiative took place from 16 to 20 of September.
Brigadier General Hamad Ajlan Al Amaimi, Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate congratulated the Al Ain school community on the occasion of the new school year. He expressed his warm wishes that the year will be full of accomplishment and giving. He also stressed that the year must be focused on the educational accomplishment in order to create a conscientious and promising generation, equipped with science and knowledge, and able to upgrade the country’s expertise in various fields.
He also asked the Director to exert efforts between the students’ parents, the school, and the drivers of the Emirates Foundation for transportation and the Police to preserve the safety of the students while being transported to and from school; he urged all parties to avoid accidents in order to create a safe environment to help them achieve educational endeavors and academic excellence.
“The 2012 back-to-school initiative will include the implementation of the field visits to schools, which was prepared by the campaign’s responsible authorities. It also organizes lectures to educate students, as well as distributes awareness brochures and leaflets. It executes a program of visits for students to police centers to brief them on the nature of police work, and its role to preserve security and stability in the homeland,” Brigadier Al Almaimi concluded.
