The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters trained nine members of different departments on victim’s rescue in high-rise buildings in collaboration with the French Police. The training was performed in the Aldar building owned by Aldar Real Estate Company on Al Raha Beach in Abu Dhabi.

The training course was executed by Central Operations General Department, represented by Emergency and General Safety Department in collaboration with the Human Resources General Department represented by the Training Department.

Colonel Mohammed bin Naseeb Al Nuaimi, Director of the Emergency and General Safety Department said: “The Abu Dhabi Police contracted with the French Police to hold different courses in first aid, rescue and firefighting, which will be implemented through training and qualification of human resources of the Emergency and General Safety Department or other concerned departments in the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.”

Lieutenant Mohammed Ahmad Al Hamed, Coordinator of Courses and Training Procedures, pointed out that the training course focused on how to rescue victims in high-rise buildings during fire or other emergency incidents.

He clarified that the French police already held two courses, one is for “Rescuing Victims in High Buildings” on the 25th of March and it continued until the 5th of April; another course is called “Protection from Industrial and Health Dangers”  that was held recently and benefited 13 members from different police departments.
