Represented by the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, the Abu Dhabi Police opened a traffic awareness pavilion at the Heritage Village Festival on the Abu Dhabi breakwaters. The event was organized by the Emirates Heritage Club. The directorate’s participation is in line with its approach of communicating with the community and participating through cultural and tourism activities to educate festival visitors on the country’s traffic laws.
Major Khalid Muhammad Al Feel from the Public Relations Section in the Traffic and Patrols Directorate in the Abu Dhabi Police explained that the awareness exhibition included publications about traffic laws in English and Arabic.
Visitors to the pavilion were briefed about the Abu Dhabi Traffic program “Together” on social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube aiming to limit traffic accidents. Additionally, they were introduced to other initiatives such as the ‘Best Young Driver Initiative’ that aims to increase commitment to traffic laws among youth, the ‘Best Family Initiative,’ the ‘Best School Initiative,’ and the ‘Best Labor Camp Initiative.’
At the event’s conclusion, Ali Abdullah Al Rumaithi, the Emirates Heritage Club’s Second Deputy of the Executive Director, recognized the Traffic and Patrols Directorate in the Abu Dhabi Police for their active participation in the tourism festival, its contribution in introducing visitors to traffic laws, and the UAE’s traffic achievements.
