Major General Staff Dr. Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kutbi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, met a delegation from the Italian Embassy in his office at the Police General Headquarters. The delegation from the Italian Embassy included Commodore Franchises Koniali, the Military Attaché to the Italian Embassy in the UAE, and Lieutenant Colonel Pietra Karoza, Deputy Military Attaché.

Major General Staff Al Kutbi briefed the delegation on the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy, its implementation of the global excellence standards, and its continuous performance improvement. He also stressed the commitment of the Abu Dhabi Police to qualify its human cadres on an ongoing basis, maximize its capabilities through partnerships with members of the public, and disseminate the culture of excellence.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the means necessary to strengthen the distinguished relations between the two sides and the friendship between the two countries in addition to activating police cooperation and a number of other issues of common interest.

For his part the Italian Military Attaché was impressed by the evident evolution of the efficiency of the police corps and its ability to create community-based communication through electronic connectivity services. He also hailed the readiness of the Abu Dhabi Police in its keeping abreast of developments and capability of creating a secure and stable environment in which everyone enjoys a tranquil life and is open to the world with confidence and reliability.

The Italian Embassy delegation underscored its commitment to the development of training-related topics. At the end of the visit, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and the Italian delegation exchanged commemorative gifts and shields in the presence of a number of officers.
