The Punitive Reformatory Establishments Department at the Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of its sixth batch of staff from the specialized training course on the methods of handling detainees and convicts. The course was organized at the Specialized Institute at the Department in Al Wathba.

Colonel Mohammed Saeed Al Zaabi, Head of the Punitive Reformatory Establishments at the Abu Dhabi Police indicated that the month-long course focused on training and rehabilitating police staff on how to deal with detainees and convicts. This step enables them to perform their duties, as per the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy to enhance skills and raise competence levels of police staff across all sections.

Al Zaabi commended the positive response from 32 participants regarding the course’s programs. He pointed out that their dedicated efforts and distinguished performance in practical training contributed to the course’s success.

Among the ceremony’s attendees, Colonel Ahmed Al Dakhiri, Chief of the Support Services Section, praised the participants’ capabilities. He also hailed the course’s topics, which included the major requirements for institutions within all circumstances, the variety of responsibilities to uphold when dealing with inmates, and institutional security. He explained that the course covered both theoretical and practical disciplines. 

At the conclusion of the ceremony, attendees watched a documentary highlighting the training that  graduates underwent. The graduates received their certificates, while the top participants received prizes.
