The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense teams extinguished a fire that broke out on Wednesday morning in a wedding services warehouse in Musaffah. No injuries were reported.

The Operations Room received a call at 4:24 am saying that a fire had broken out and that smoke was visible from a warehouse in Musaffah. Immediately, Civil Defense teams rushed to the scene from the Civil Defense Center in Musaffah, M14 and M33. They were supported by Mohammed bin Zayed and Al Qubesat centers. The teams were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other neighboring warehouses.

Lieutenant Colonel Hamad Saeed Al Riyami, Head of the Civil Defense Centers of Abu Dhabi, who supervised the operation, called on warehouse owners and renters to adhere to the correct storage rules, maintain cleanliness, and ensure to regularly maintain fire alarms in order to prevent fires.

For his part, Captain Abdullah Al Tamimi, Chief of Public Relations Section in the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense General Department, said: “The fire completely gutted the warehouse, reducing chairs, tents, and other wedding items to ashes. Extinguishing and cooling down the location lasted until 10:10 am Wednesday morning. Investigation is underway to find out what caused the fire.”
