As part of a two-day workshop titled “Directors-General Excellence to achieve strategic goals and improvement opportunities”, held at the Al Forsan Resort in Abu Dhabi; the Abu Dhabi Police encouraged its Directors-General to achieve further excellence and leadership.
Inaugurating the workshop, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, emphasized the importance of such workshops to achieve the highest quality standards, in line with the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy. Moreover, he pointed out the keenness of Abu Dhabi Police to move forward towards greater achievements in the leadership and excellence process, on the local and regional levels.
The workshop touched on the important aspects of a leader or director general’s role, to acquaint staff with the strategic objectives. The lecture, delivered by Dr. Khaled Al Qassar from Kuwait, showcased the strategic thinking steps; the initiatives and strategic cornerstones of any institution; performance indicators (Kpls); and constraints that hinder implementation of the strategy.
The workshop was attended by Brigadier General Ismail Al Sirkal, Deputy Director General of Abu Dhabi Police Central Operations; along with department directors, chiefs of sections at the Central Operations Department, and directors of the E-services Department at the Ministry of Interior.
At the end of the workshop, Major General Al Raisi distributed certificates to the participants, and a commemorative gift to the lecturer.
