Brigadier General Jumaa Hamel Al Qubaisi, Director of the Transportation and Workshops Department in Abu Dhabi Police, attended the ceremonies held at the Department, on the UAE 41st National day, in the presence of a number of officers from Abu Dhabi Police.
The ceremony began with a recitation from the Koran, followed by an address given by Brigadier Al Qubaisi, who welcomed the attendees, praising the achievements attained by the state under the Union. He also gave an overview of the history of the founding forefathers, and the illustrious history and glorious civilization of the UAE, which established its national identity over 41 years; as a leading model of comprehensive development.
The celebration included a number of heritage events, namely, a presentation of Emirati traditional dances; national songs expressing joy on this precious occasion; and a poets’ corner. Students from the Al Manhal International Private School gave a presentation on the seven Emirates, highlighting their special characteristics.
The audience enjoyed the various activities, such as the UAE’s National Anthem; the traditional and popular dishes; and the questions and answers segment with respect to the UAE heritage, and history of the UAE, since the establishment of the Union. Commemorative gifts were distributed to participants.
At the end of the ceremony, the officers and staff of the Transportation and Works Department expressed their heartfelt congratulations to the higher leadership; praying to Allah Almighty to preserve the blessing of prosperity and stability in the country.
