The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, represented by the Air Wing Department, fulfilled the wish of four-year-old Abdullah Mohammed Al Mahrouqi from Al Taliaa School for basic and secondary education in Al Ain. Abdullah’s wish was to fly in a helicopter from the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department.
Colonel Hamad Hareb Al Kheli, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Section at the Air Wing Department, received Abdullah Mohammed Al Mahrouqi accompanied by a classmate and a delegation from the school. The two sides exchanged memorial gifts and shields.
Al Kheli said: “The Abu Dhabi Police has always worked to fulfill children’s wishes; especially those passing through emergency humanitarian conditions. The visit to the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department teaches children how to react in emergency situations. We explain necessary preventive procedures to them and instruct them on how to use emergency numbers. The children also enjoyed a tour aboard one of our helicopters over the Abu Dhabi Corniche.”
Abdullah, his calssmate, and members of the school delelgation listened to a simplified explanation of the work and the missions of the departments, which include: police tasks, search and rescue missions, and the air ambulance mission delivered by Major Hammad Al Kutbi, Head of Relations Committee at the Air Wing Department – Abu Dhabi Section.
Major Hammad Al Kutbi accompanied Abdullah Mohammed Al Mahrouqi and his colleague to the Abu Dhabi Police Officers’ Club where they boarded the helicopter and took a tour over the Abu Dhabi Corniche. While on board, the two kids saluted the flag of the United Arab Emirates.
