The Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks at Abu Dhabi Police held a workshop on buildings security methodology at the Police Officers Club, in line with the higher leadership’s keenness to secure police buildings. In his lecture, Major General Dr Ibrahim Al Fakharani (security expert) indicated that the buildings security philosophy is a new approach adopted and organized by the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquartersacross all security facilities. It also sheds light on the architectural design, notably the health and good ventilation aspects, and targets the Methodology Department’sengineers in particular. The second phase tackles security and prevention proceduresat the facilities, and aims at identifying potential risks.
“The second phase tackles the security procedures and guard duty, which relies mainly on the human cadre, supported by modern and sophisticated security-related techniques,”noted Dr. Al Fakharani.
For his part, Lt. ColonelEng. Ahmed Saleh Al Masabi, Information Branch Manager at the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks, underscored theworkshop’simportant role in boosting the sense of security, with respect to protection of lives and property as per advanced and effective methods.
