5 Asians died in a traffic accident on Al Salaa road, Western Region
Five of Asian nationality died in a traffic accident when their vehicle collided with a track parked on a lay pay on Wednesday midnight. The accident took place on Al Salaa Road at the Western region.
Colonel Hamad Saeed bin Tarees Al Dhahri, Director of the Western region Police Directorate said “The accident was because the driver of the light vehicle was tired and sleepy. His vehicle veered off the road and collided with the parked truck which its driver was sleeping inside it”.
“The driver of the light vehicle and the four passengers with him died on the spot due to the collision. Their bodies were evacuated to Al Marfa and Madinat Zayed Hospitals”, added Al Dhahri.
Al Dhahri urged motorists to take utmost care while driving at night. They should stop their vehicle and have some rest, when they feel tired, for their safety and other road users safety.
