Al Fujairah Police General Headquarters recently celebrated the graduation of 46 staff members after completing a specialized course on “stopping and inspecting vehicles”, organized in cooperation with the Traffic Institute Section in Al Ain affiliated to the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate. The five-day course took place at the Police Institute in Fujairah.
Colonel Hamid Mohammed Hamid Al Yammahi, Director General of Police Operations at Fujairah Police GHQ, indicated that the course reflects the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to train its staff members and develop their competencies as per international best standards; so as to improve police work and enhance the country’s security and safety.
For his part, Captain Salem Ali Salem Al Kutbi, Training Branch Manager at the Traffic Institute and lecturer in the course, noted that the graduates have received scientific training and practical application courses on how to stop vehicles and inspect them and ways to treat drivers in a civilized manner and others. This would contribute to develop their skills and raise their professional level. He also urged them to apply the knowledge they acquired during the course in their work, and share it with their colleagues.
Towards the end of the ceremony, Colonel Al Yammahi honored Captain Salem Ali Salem Al Kutbi, in appreciation of his efforts that contributed to the success of this course. He also distributed certificates to the graduates.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Ali Bin Naya, Training Institute Director at Al Fujairah Police, along with a number of officers, non-commissioned officers, and constables at Al Fujairah Police.
