Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Acting Commander in Chief of UAE Civil Defense, launched the second phase of the directorate’s Prevention and Safety Program during his visit to the Ministry of Interior’s pavilion at GITEX Technology Week 2012.
Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director General of Civil Defense in Abu Dhabi, noted that this program focuses on implementing the paper-free concept by developing the Civil Defense’s online services to cope with the requirements of development in the Emirate.
He added that the program reflects the concerted efforts exerted by the committee supervising the process of linking the Civil Defense’s various departments and centers to the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters. Through this program, 17 Civil Defense Centers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi were connected in coordination with the Customer Service Centers of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region Municipalities. Colonel Al Nuaimi also pointed out that this measure is in line with the changes and updates in the ministerial and administrative decisions, and the requirements of the Abu Dhabi e-Government portal.
The program was created and developed in collaboration with the Information Technology and Telecommunications Department at Abu Dhabi Police and Al Rowad IT Solutions, in addition to governmental, local, and federal entities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, via a number of memoranda for cooperation and coordination.
