The Director of Police College, Col. Saif Ali Al Kutbi attended the graduation ceremony of 14 police officers who completed a training course on modern methods in employees’ performance appraisal.
The ceremony was attended by departments’ directors and sections heads, and a number of police officers from the Police College and the Officers Training Institute.
In a speech at the ceremony, Al Kutbi, said, “The personnel who are equipped with knowledge are those who can serve their nation”. He indicated that the Ministry of Interior work effortlessly to enhance the integrated training system and develop the skills of its staff members on both collective and individual levels.
According to him, the course was organized by Officers Training Institute between 16-20 January. It aims to give participants an opportunity to develop their skills in the process of performance appraisal.
The participants received lectures focusing on the importance, methods and requirements of employees’ performance appraisal. Also issues such as identifying strengths and weaknesses of different types of performance appraisals and the negative aspects of the current situation of such appraisals have also been covered at the course.
At the end of the ceremony, Col. Al Kutbi distributed certificates to the graduates and instructors.
