The Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Victim Affairs Office of the Directorate General of Central operations discussed with the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation ways of enhancing joint cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
A delegation from the Victim Affairs Office, headed by Captain Ali Al Muhairi, Director, visited the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and met Mohammed Haji Al Khouri, Director General. Both parties reviewed joint cooperation during crises and disasters and providing humanitarian support to victims.
Furthermore, Captain Al Muhairi gave a presentation showcasing the work mechanism at the Victim Affairs office. He noted that the Office provides comprehensive information during and after the crisis, to help rapidly identify victims of major accidents and natural crises and contact their families. Moreover, he pointed out that the Office’s work consists mainly of receiving notifications in the event of accidents and emergency crises; contacting victims’ families; and responding to their questions and inquiries.
“The Office contributes to achieve community-based goals for the local community in terms of providing social and psychological support for the families of victims, missing persons, injured and survivors”, he said. Both parties also discussed the mechanism of recruiting volunteers and shelters.
At the end of the meeting, the two parties exchanged commemorative gifts.
