The Information and Public Relations Department, at the Directorate General of Resources and Support Services of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Interior, organized a lecture on public health to mark the World Health Day. The lecture was delivered by Colonel Dr. Ali Singel; Director of Dubai Police Medical Center.
The lecture comes in line with the awareness program organized by the Information and Public Relations Department for the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector’ staff members. It aims to acquaint them with the proper health habits, and their role in disease prevention to enjoy a better health. Promoting health awareness is based on the standpoint stating that prevention is better than cure, particularly against diseases that are common among members of society, such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
Furthermore, Dr. Singel shed light on the best health practices that we should abide by to lead a healthy life, in terms of food quality and its impact on human health. The lecturer responded then the audience’s questions and queries.
The lecture was attended by Brigadier Brigadier Ghareeb Mohammed Darweesh Al Hosani, Director General of the Ports and Airports Security Department; Lieutenant Colonel Talib Abdul Kareem Al Mahmoud, Director of Finance and Support Services Department; and Major Jaber Jassem Al Muhairi, Head of Information and Public Relations Department, as well as a number of officers and employees of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector.
