The Security Media team beat for the second time the Ittihad Daily team, scoring three goals against one in the second phase of the 1st Ramadan Football championship. The tournament is organized by the Journalists Association Branch of Abu Dhabi with the participation of eight teams representing media organizations in the Emirate, in the playground of Fahim School in Abu Dhabi.
With this victory, the Security Media leads the group B with 6 points and preserves its place in the semi-finals along with the Emirates News Agency team, which won its second victory over the Gulf Newspaper team “1” by eight goals against two. The team of Reporters’ People defeated the Gulf “2” team by scoring five goals against two within the second phase of the championship.
The match between the Security media team and the Ittihad Daily team was very exciting; despite the Security Media team huge possession. The players Hamdan al Darhi, Mohammed Helmi and Abdullah al Marzouki scored three goals before the one last honorary goal of the Ittihad team.
The preliminary round matches of the championship will be concluded next Tuesday by performing four games which their results will determine the two winning teams that will qualify to the finals along with the Security Media and the Emirates News Agency teams.
