The old police photo gallery, which was organized by the Western Region Police Directorate on the sidelines of the “Liwa International Festival” (Tal Moreeb), attracted festival goers who were acquainted with the ADP’s stages of development and evolution. The community police officers communicated with the visitors and participants and informed them about the police services that are provided to the public.
Colonel Ojeil Ali Abdullah, Director of the Western Region Police Directorate, urged the visitors and participants to abide by the traffic laws and contact the police entities to get answers to any of their queries. He also urged them to take caution while driving on the road leading to the festival and to abide by speed limits to maintain their safety and the safety of others. He also urged them to comply with the police entities’ instructions and follow the instructions and signs, and avoid crossing to rough sandy areas or riding through sand dunes.
Moreover, he asked drivers to contact the technicians from the Western Region Police Directorate that are present at the festival, so as to benefit from technical and mechanical services in the case of vehicle malfunctions.
Furthermore, the Director of the Western Region Police Directorate said that the police officers’ presence primarily aims to prevent anything that might threaten the lives of visitors. It also aims to assist people with any problems or obstacles that they might face, especially first time visitors, in order to inform them about the festival site, passable routes and the difficulty of driving through the region, which may cause some malfunctions.
