The United Arab Emirates participated in the preparatory committee meeting for the ministries of interiors of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The meeting concludedin the sister country of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today; the meeting was held in preparation for the 32nd meeting of the ministers of interiors of GCC countries.

Lt. GeneralSaif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, headed a high security delegation and departed for Riyadh to participate in the meeting.

The meeting addressed various important topics, andsecurity committees decided on recommendations in order to raise the level of security cooperation and coordination among GCC countries. The recommendations will be filed in the 32ndmeeting of the ministers of interiors of the GCC.

The accompanying UAE delegation included:Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Jamal Saif Fares; Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Muhammad Al Murarfrom the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister; Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Mazroui, Head of International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Interior; Lieutenant Colonel Majed Muhammad Al Suwaidi from the Ministry of Interior Undersecretary’s Office; and LieutenantHamad KhalifaAl Dir’efrom the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H. Minister of Interior.
