A delegation from the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates attends the 81st ministerial meeting of the Criminal Police International Organization (Interpol). The Interpol General Assembly, which is currently being held from November 5th - 8th in Rome, receives the participation of 190 countries. The Interpol, in cooperation with the Italian authorities, gathers ministers and officials to participate in a forum with dynamic and advanced dialogue in order to prevent crime-related violence in the modern era.

Lieutenant General Khamis Bin Saif, General Director of Criminal Section in the Abu Dhabi Police headed the ministry delegation that included Lieutenant Colonel Said Louta of Dubai Police General Headquarters and Major Mubarak Al Khayili from the Interpol office in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, especially those related to the cooperation and coordination between member states of the Interpol and their fight against organized crimes. The officials tackled the best ways to face illegal merchandise trading, ways to strengthen the Interpol role in arresting criminals, the latest developments for creating the Interpol Global Complex for Technology and Innovation in Singapore, and other related issues.
