The Ministry of Interior’s Award for Smart Applications’ Assessment Committee recently concluded their second assessment of ideas and proposals submitted for the Award.

Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Executive Board at the Ministry of Interior, noted that this award reflects the directives set for the implementation of the Smart Government, in pursuance of the higher leadership’s vision.

For her part, Major Dana Humaid, from the General Directorate of Strategy and Performance Development, the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, indicated that the initial assessment process of the submitted applications concluded last month. She pointed out that each academic body has assigned one work team to each proposal, and appointed a person who will be in charge of registering his team for the award by filling out the award’s registration form. In addition, the second phase of the assessment process concluded and the final process will soon commence in the presence of the sectors’ leaders and dignitaries.

She also noted that the award supports creativity and innovative individuals and promotes the concept of efficient team work between academic institutions and government agencies.
