Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior met the Libyan Minister of Interior, Fawzi Abdel A’al, in his Highness’s office on Monday.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to promote and develop relations in the fields of mutual interest between the two countries.
Following the meeting, His Highness, accompanied by the Libyan Minister of Interior, visited the tomb of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, near Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi. The two ministers recited verses from the Holy Quran by the tomb and prayed to the Lord to elevate late Sheikh Zayed to the level of prophets and martyrs.
The Libyan delegation toured the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, and was given a detailed overview about the mosque that was built since 1996. They viewed the beautiful structure of this religious landmark and got acquainted with its architectural style.
The meeting was attended by Major General Nasser Lakhreibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of His Highness Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Zahiri, Director General of Commandment Affairs in Abu Dhabi Police; Colonel Saoud Al Saidi, Director General of the General Secretariat Department; and members of the Libyan delegation.
