The Ports Security Institute at the Ports and Airports Security General Department in Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of 48 of its members, after completing training courses to raise their efficiency in computer simulation, first aid, and identifying character behavioral patterns.

Colonel Abdullah Al Dhaheri, Director of Ports Security Institute, stated that the graduates have acquired during the courses, a number of sciences and specialized information, shedding light on the development of the training process, according to the most sophisticated international training methodologies and the latest techniques in security and police work.

Al Dhaheri added that two members from the Republic of Yemen partook in the various sessions of the character behavioral patterns course; which confirms the good reputation enjoyed by the Institute, and the importance of the specialized courses it organizes.

For her part, Lieutenant Colonel Naima Salem Awad, Director of Training Department at the Ports Security Institute, stated that the personal behavioral patterns course tackled the issue of identifying character patterns and ways to deal with them, as well as the expected reactions of each character.  She added that the participants in the detection and security inspection course using computer based simulation training (CBT), got acquainted with luggage inspection, physical inspection, inspection devices and procedures used at checkpoints, as well as security survey and methods of operation. Moreover, participants at the first aid course got acquainted with means to treat injuries, and how to use medical devices and modern first aid techniques to transfer the injured.
