The Police Schools Department at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ) ranked first in the Ramadan pistol skeet shooting championship. The Personnel Affairs Department ranked second, and the Emergency and Public Safety Department placed third.

The event was organized by the Sports Activity Section at the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development, and took place at the shooting range at the Abu Dhabi Police Officers' Club. The championship was attended by Colonel Waleed Al Shamesi, Head of Police Schools Department; Colonel Mohammed Al Hosani, Deputy Head of the Social Support Centers Department at Abu Dhabi Police; and a number of officers and participants.

The championship witnessed strong competition between participants in the individuals’ category.  Lieutenant Mohammed Sultan from the Police Schools Department ranked first, followed by Captain Khaled Al Hammadi from the Police Schools Department and Lieutenant Mohammed Rashid Al Shamesi from the Personnel Affairs Department who placed second and third respectively.

Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General, the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, noted that organizing this championship reflects the attention dedicated by the Abu Dhabi Police to sports. “The championship comes in response to the directives of the police leadership, which call for supporting the shooting sport, being one of the police sports that aim to develop staff members’ skills and raise their efficiency; along with its significant role in consolidating and developing humanitarian relations between staff members,” he concluded.
