Pilots from Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing received advanced training in Los Angeles in the US as part of a Tactical Flight Officer training, in accordance with the higher police leadership guideline to promote coordination between the two parties. Leroy Baca, the Sheriff of Los Angeles County, welcomed the visiting delegation.

The delegation, led by Brigadier Ali Al Mazroui, Director of the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing, included 13 members from the Air Wing and Traffic & Patrols.

The pilots received theoretical operational classes in tactical flight operations and engaged in airborne missions that included police and security tasks by using specialized equipment and devices.

Abu Dhabi Police personnel also visited specialized units that included the Emergency Operations Bureau, Dispatch Center, SWAT, Aero Bureau, and the County Jail.

They also participated in police ground patrols and observed two police operations first-hand from patrol cars in some areas.

The visit helped introduce the visiting delegation to modern police tactics and innovative ideas to stay up-to-date with police and security fields.
