Colonel Juma Salem Al Dahmani, Acting Director of Abu Dhabi Civil Defense team honored the Peripheral Areas Directorate team, winner of the Ramadan Football Championship Cup, organized by the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense General Directorate. The team was crowned Champion after defeating the Capital Police Directorate team by three goals to one, in the final match, which was held on the courts of the Petroleum Institute in Abu Dhabi. The Capital Police Directorate team ranked second, while the Emergency and Public safety Department team ranked third. The Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER) team won the Best Football Team in the Championship.
A large number of government departments and private companies took part in the Championship, which was marked with competitiveness and fair play among participating teams.
At the end of the ceremony, Colonel Al Dahmani, accompanied by Colonel Abdullah Al Zaabi, handed over the Championship trophy to the Peripheral Areas Directorate team. Trophies and medals were also distributed to the winning teams.
In his address on the occasion, Colonel Al Dahmani congratulated the Peripheral Areas Directorate team for winning the Championship. He also lauded the high technical level of the Capital Police Directorate team, pointing out that both teams showed outstanding and praiseworthy playing skills, wishing them success in the next championship.
